It's fall now, and with that come changes - to my circadian rhythm, my workload and my comic's schedule. As the sun rises later, the time I get up to walk the dogs moves with it. I'm like Cass in that way. This leaves me with less time between walkies and work to draw comics, and with my workload peaking in September, there's no time slot in the evening to make up for it. There will be, but not yet.
This year, the peak has been higher than expected and I've also had to deal with harvesting my back yard pepper cultivation and with preparations for travel next week as we head for Portugal to work on the property that will become our winter home. This effectively leaves me with no regular time to work on the comic until mid-October, just as I was in the middle of a sequence that was unusually difficult to draw (helicopters! A whole new band! More ghostly creatures!)
So once again, a week's delay is going to turn into up to two months' delay. Better to be honest about this and see you in a little while!
