The kids have reached the mixing desk.
Jamie: Can our PA system handle… this?
Sarah: All the meters are green. Believe it or not, they aren't actually any louder than the last band.

Panel 2.
George: So how do they sound so much more powerful? We couldn't hear those other bands from the campsite!
Sarah: Well, it's complicated, but it has to do with the waveshapes of the sounds, and the compression of the dynamics.

Panel 3.
Mycelia is checking her phone. Behind her are some of the modular synth nerds from her workshop. One of them is using an oscilloscope module hooked up to a microphone.
Nerd: I've isolated the waveshape and it's the oddest thing I've ever seen. There's a devil-horn shaped peak at 666 Hertz.
Mycelia: I think this is the one.
Nerd 2: It's a Shörtlee S4T4N.


Panel 4.
Cass walks on.
Mycelia: Says here that only 11 were made and they were all recalled except one that was stolen.
Cass: What's going on?

Panel 5.
Mycelia: Cass! Just the person we need!
Cass: Uh-oh? I mean, oh?

Mycelia: …what the hell are you wearing?
Cass: What?
